Did I miss a whole year?

Today is December 24, 2020.   Christmas Eve.   Yes, I said 2020.   My last post was in 2018.   I totally blew past 2019 without any updates on here.   So, in 2019 I worked.  Paul worked until he fell off a ladder in August and shattered his heel.  That’s a whole other tale for another day.  There you have it.  2019.

Now, 2020 is a whole different story.  Covid-19.   And loss.   Lots of losses.   We lost Carmen, Paul’s brother in April.  We lost friends throughout the year....Miakel McGee, Randy Jones, David “Doc” Cannon, my friend Linda Shealy lost her brother, Bruce, our son Keith lost his dog “Red Daisy” and last but certainly not least, our daughter in law Adrienne lost her mother, Roxanne Chaney Bruner.....just a month ago.   Life is short and we need to make the most of every day.  Who knows how many have?!?

I am still working for Colliers as an on-site Property Manager at Independence Corporate Park here in Greenville.  Paul was laid off in August and has turned into Martha Stewart.  He replaced porch posts, stairs, handrails, installed wood flooring and painted every single door we have in our house.   Hi, Martha.   It’s a good thing!

Christmas this year will be different but even with all the issues we have endured there is much to be thankful for.   Health, happiness, love and security.   Merry Christmas from our house to yours!

Now I have to get my seven fishes ready to cook tonight.    🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
