Moving again....

Good Morning!

I have failed miserably at posting of my adventures/time living on Cape.  I promised pix that I have not posted.    Except for the long cold winter, the temperature was balmy and mild.  A constant ocean breeze blew all the time, and we went to the beach nearly every Sunday.  Until Memorial Day weekend we took the dogs to the beach with us.

We ate lots of seafood and our favorite spot was Spanky's Clam Shack right on the water at the Hyannis Harbor.

I worked for an awesome company with lovely people....Dennis East International (DEI).  This company is owned by the man whose family founded Christmas Tree Shops.  I was in their accounting department and I sure hated to leave.  Paul decided it was best for us to move back to our home in SC.  I was surprised as he was the one who wanted to live in New England again....near his family.  And except for one sister, not the first member of his family ever reached out to him.  Not once.   Sad.

So, after arranging to transfer his job from Hyannis to Greenville, we packed up, drove some 20 hours straight without stopping except for fuel and the obvious necessity break....we arrived back in the Upstate of South Carolina.  Jonathan drove our moving truck, with a car being towed behind.  Paul drive ahead and I followed.

This was on 9/29 and as of today, 10/23, I am still Trying to get unpacked and settled.

Cape Cod was a lovely adventure....one I am so glad I had the good fortune to experience. And I will publish pictures.  At some point.

So, what's next????

I'm Dreaming of a White Valentine's Day

So my last post was all about the non- White Christmas.  Since I have been here, it has snowed five times.  FIVE times.  Today was my first nor'easter.  Contrary to what I thought that term meant, it has nothing to do with bunnies or baskets filled with eggs.  It is SNOW.  And wind.  Lots of snow and wind.  Piling up quickly.  I left work at 12:30 and there were a few flurries of snow and mostly rain.  As I write this, it is almost 5:30 and I am not able to even see out, as the wind has blown the snow all over the windows, and the doors are frozen.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas......

Southern Belle meets Old Man Winter.....

So, my first New England Christmas was not a white one.  Bummer.  However, I got a White twelve days after Christmas!  It started snowing on Friday and finally stopped on Sunday.  Two days later, the snow has finally started to melt.  What an experience!   And you know what, I loved it.  Now I don't want snow on the ground until June or anything like that, but I would rather have snow than the cold wind that howls all around us....nearly ALL the time!

I will provide you some Snow pictures as soon as I can figure out how to add them.   Stay tuned.
